MISSION:

The mission of the Wetumpka Public Library is to assure quality library service to the residents of the community by providing materials and services aimed at helping them obtain information meeting their personal and educational needs. Special emphasis is placed on providing popular reading materials for all ages, on supporting students at elementary and secondary educational levels, and on stimulating young children’s interests and appreciation for reading and learning. An integral part of fulfilling this mission is the use of available information technologies to support and improve the library’s programs and organization, and to provide access to the Internet to the residents of the community.

LIBRARY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

LIBRARY MEMBERSHIP IS FREE TO THOSE LIVING OR WORKING IN ELMORE COUNTY. ALL OTHERS PAY $15 PER CARD HOLDER OR $25 PER FAMILY FOR A THREE YEAR MEMBERSHIP.

FINES AND FEES

Failure to pay outstanding fines over $5.00 or to return overdue materials will result in suspension of library privileges until said fines are paid or materials are returned. If materials are lost patron must pay a replacement cost for the lost item before privileges may be restored.
