Library membership is free to anyone who lives or works in Elmore County. Out-of- county membership is $15 per individual or $25 per family and is good for three years.

To obtain a Wetumpka Library Card you need to bring one picture ID and one other item showing your current address. Examples of this second item are printed checks, bills, hunting or fishing licenses, etc. A parent or guardian may get a library card for any child 6 years old or older. A parent or guardian must sign for their child’s library card if the child is under 18 years of age.

Regional cards may also be obtained here and entitle the holder to apply for library memberships at all libraries in the Horseshoe Bend Regional Library System free of charge. The counties covered by this system are Elmore, Coosa, Tallapoosa, and Lee. The same ID requirements for the Wetumpka Library card are required to obtain a Regional Card.
